A friend from Dell sms me tonite,an international university is opening it's new campus in Alor Setar.Urgent need for IT Manager to managed the data center and the campus IT.Post/mail or call me,I'll fwd to the guy.

Vacation

I have to finish my half year leave, they won't pay,it's forfeited;some images to lower the rush;but heck,my phone fell into the sea.

Work! Can I call it Hell?

Have anybody experience hell,so it's non realistic to use that phrase.Again, I've been stormed with tasks to plan and execute.I have initiated a network takeover from Infra team,so,help me from where should I start.I don't have a full view yet,so I adopt to say,it's huge.Multiple project coming,multiple people to develop to opt the new technology.
I got in contact with my long long long old school mates from primary/secondary.I can't express the joy,but it keep me smiling longer.Thanks guys/gals, you're all great.

Discipline

I need to be more discipline if I want this blog existence.I have nothing much interesting thought to share.Had been stormed with commitment on the job,I'm now doing solutions and also had to take over server & security dept.On top of that,they dumping me network.
We'd completed Cambodia project on setting up a commercial bank,it's my first build up from scratch;of course I only involved on the planning and the data center setup.Cambodia people were nice,they're willing to work,will accept any job even they don't really know the hell about it.The bank page here.
It's quite a suffering for me on the first 2 or 3 trips,it's hard to get veggie food and halal items.I have a full stock of instant noodles instead,but how long do you think can live with those.If you like girls and spa/massage,then you will never disappointed.The road and surroundings were dirty,and the daily business stop 5.30PM.
We did find a halal restaurant(Mount Everest),food were great;chapati can cost you RM13.There's another restaurant near Public Bank,quite far from my company place;but it's worth it,the food can be consider average - it's mamak from Malaysia actually,and again 2 plates of nasi campur and 2 teh tarik was RM49.By the way,I forgot to mentioned,all trade largely in USD.

By the way also,I just got a new toy, Samsung R470,think it's worth my cents.

Green Infrastructures

Blade project comes to near end.Hardware ready,tested and just waiting.For me, I like to screw thing a lil' bit while still in project phase,no need to log call(s).The project still pending on the management tool,so back to the execution then.

Meletak Kereta Di Luar Petak

I'm pissed;captured three pictures but proven useless.I got a parking summon by Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang with the said offence.My car was not outside the box,meter not expired yet.So, not to make matter worse,I went to MPPP at Komtar for a complaint.I have two choices; go to another MPPP enforcement office,somewhere or just fill up the form;attach your picture as prove(you need to develop yourself first),then the long list come.The form will be sent to the MPPP Enforcement Dept,I need to wait for a reply then wait for the final decision.That's may takes two months;payment method - counters,cheque or postal order;no online,but..but the kiosk outside the office have a 'e-bayar' tab.Parking collection where I got summon is 24/7.I opted to pay eventually - MYR30.00.Sucks,not because of the money much,but the way the system being implement.Most of the time, MPPP personnel/dept can only do one thing, not multi tasked, worse than retard and disable.I have great respect for OKU for their enthusiast.The government does not fail,but the servants heading that way.So, Penang sucks also.

Need More Input

I've been searching hi and lo for a place to study,part-time or online.I nearly got it in Segi, but then they deferred saying offering business only,what a screwed-up shit. I called OUM for an open entry for a Master programme, rejected as my age does not meet the minimum requirements. I found out this Asean e-University, maybe I'll try my luck there; they are offering OSS Master programme. How can I get exempted;;;?

New Toy

I just got me new notebook.I'm always interested in other than Intel,like previously Transmeta chip.Now I'm having AMD,vastly not accepted by many.I don't have much to spare,so I bought the lowest can get,no fancy Windoze buttons and no os also.My criteria of choice is always to compare both shift key sound;left should be equal.

Double track

New train service between KL and Ipoh starts on Dec 1st.I can't wait,I never travel on a train before.

Why was then I'm working in KL this service not introduce.I'm in Penang now, and the double track Ipoh to Padang Besar will only finish in 2013.I'll be rotten by the sea.

Sort of busy...

This week seem tight,but I completed couple of tasks.Our department is in dire need of helpdesk system.I evaluated 2 or 3 applications previously,now ended up with RT from Best Practical.It's an open-source with Apache2,Mysql and postfix/exim.Platform wise,although Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris is tempting,Linux have more tools for compiling.Latest RT 3.8.1,now I need to design the process flow(sigh).
This month also our company seem to stress on the Going Green Campaign.Blade server project seem green,I had to do the presentation for the HR; a very encouraging response from the HR boss.
Hopefully next week I have more task to do.

Something to do...

Ahhhh...it's been long,I know,taking a very long raya break.
My blade project had a go status,what a relieve,it's a pure wreck havoc study;blade are categorised as modular system,I'm a mid range origin.
It's going to be a busy year end soon,the pentest result coming out soon,the blade are coming on the PO;;but I like all those tense.In the mean time,I'm deploying a new help desk system using RT from Best Practical.
I'd been testing with multiple distro,slackware,RH,ubuntu,solaris 10 and opensolaris,nice to know I can't still crack my head on it.I'll be testing it on the easiest distro first(ubuntu),but I need to wait late as my netadmin won't allow me to download big files before 6pm.

Ramadhan...last.

It's my last fast here in Penang today.I do miss something, but I really can't figure it out what.Maybe because I'm new here, so the heart always wonder.I might miss the Seberang Jaya Pasar Ramadhan though.Hope next year I'm still around.
Did you guys know today is the Quds Days.Imam Khomeini declared the last Friday in Ramadhan as the day to pursue war freeing Baitul-Maqdis and Palestine.I didn't know it also,I got the flyer here at Masjid Lebuh Aceh.

Maybe I miss the month itself.

Reboot

While waiting on a ferry to Penang mainland,my mind start wondering;I started my page in Oct 2005 with just 2 posts.I was later too engaged with my job,my new personal life.It's now near October,a near 3 years for me to restart.My mind crashed and I don't have a proper disaster recovery plan.

There goes KL,I'm now working in the Island.
My previous ground requires me to stretch my working will to 18/20 hours a day.I handled IT project coordination more than everyone else did.It's a big vendor company supporting big financial market player.We(me and my team) handled mid range machine, Unix to be specific.We support multiple flavor, you name it, we have Aix, Solaris, HP-UX, Tru-64, SCO to vast list of Open Source platforms.We did integration with zOS, OS400, Novell and Windoze.Those were the hard days.
Penang work is very very relax, 9 to 6 work time, small technical task mainly with open platforms, involved in some policies review(like you are the lawmaker) and overviewing some M$ Windoze issues.
Come to think of it, I really missed my old less sleep job.

I need to start..somewhere.

It's been ages since my last post,actually 2 posts make it to the public.I never put a counter and I never keep track of the viewer.
My blog started as experiment to find interest.I want to share,I got a lot to tell, but I'm not good at expressing my thought.
I like to share my surroundings, mostly my work, hopefully I can make it now.My blog had been stale for more than 2 years.
