How do you move a wall - firewall...

Juniper, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet. I need to migrate my current - EOS last 30/6/13. Concerns mostly on the migration strategy and execution approach.
Migrating a ScreenOS to even JunOS is not a 1 to 1 export. Now we're looking a lil bit more into NGFW (market hype??).
Easiest will be the same platform, add some UTM may help to go near NGFW. Does the 'Layer 8" really matter. Palo Alto AppID seem to hold me back a bit.

Serial device - Prolific on PCBSD

Saw on dmesg as uplcom0. You can connect this serial at /dev/cuaU0. I did not get it on the first, the tty need root.

Bsd - PCBSD to be exact.

Things got nicer on my (office) e6430 now. KDE suited my requirements for now, with some small work integration that were based on Linux tools availability. Bringing up the usb serial seem pain for now, but I think it may got to do with permission on the com/tty. The sound mixer works now instead of typing "mixer vol", but the sound buttons does not work, I believed it's associated with the nvidia itself. Dimming the screen still does not work. Firefox/Thunderbird task bar font was big, resolved today, it's KDE settings.Desktop are satisfiable now.

UEFI seem to be a pain when you have nvidia. Even xubuntu having hard time, yeah I'd followed all steps for legacy and secure boot.
I'm on bsd now, what flavor; let it remain my favorite.
It seem great, lots more customization before I get the feels.

How much one's incapability affect your professionalism. In my environment, that cost a lot, yeah pretty shit. If you can't handle shit, then you'd better play with your doll(s). Enjoy this link on Youtube, it helped me to forget those smelly ass or asses.
